Synopsis

This charming series views the world from the inquisitive eye of a child; each book addresses a question that could baffle many a parent. A perfect series for bedtime reading.

Jack is a cheeky and curious boy who lives in Singapore. During a trip to visit his grandmother in England, Jack is drawn to her fireplace. As he goes to touch the dancing flames, Mama stops him with a firm ‘No!’— which makes Jack grumpy. Back in warm, sunny Singapore, Jack is tempted by the deep water of a swimming pool. ‘No!’ says Mama, but Jack has other ideas and jumps in. Mama races to the rescue. ‘Why do you always say no?’ Jack asks. Mama replies as she usually does— unconventionally.
